• Ensure garbage can lids are sealed tightly and securely
• Create a car garbage can
• Pick up after your pets on walks
• Teach your children the importance of properly disposing of garbage
• Encourage businesses to put garbage cans in front of their stores
• Ensure garbage bags are tied properly
• Examine where litter is coming from in your community to tackle the problem directly
