Erica Burger: The Pelvic Health Clinic

It has been a few months of settling into the big yellow house at 1106 Cole Harbour Rd, previously the home of a Dartmouth favourite, Maryann’s Gifts. The Pelvic Health Clinic opened their doors in September 2021.

Owner, Erica Burger, has been a physiotherapist since 1995, having worked in many different countries and within many different specializations. She found her niche of pelvic physiotherapy after having a particularly pesky pelvis during her first pregnancy in 2006. Since that time, she has devoted herself to understanding the biomechanics of the pelvic region and how physiotherapy approaches can bring relief for bladder, bowel, and sexual function disorders and pelvic, hip, and low back pain syndromes.

She and her team treat people of all genders. Her clinic is an inclusive, supportive, and trauma-informed space which focuses exclusively in the treatment of pelvic conditions. Erica employs Pelvic Health Therapists, Orthopedic Physiotherapists, Pediatric Physiotherapists, and Massage Therapists.

The facility also includes a spacious upstairs loft that will soon be available to rent on evenings and weekends!

Included are two washrooms and a beautiful open space with lots of natural window light – a perfect location to offer community events, classes, and weekend courses! There’s enough space to socially distance 20-25 people.
